Killing Jesus Victory?
John 12:31-32 (NLT):
“The time for judging this world has come, when Satan, the ruler of this world, will be cast out. And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.”
The enemy believed crucifying Jesus would end His mission, but it was actually God’s greatest victory. At the cross, Satan’s power over sin and death was broken, and his defeat was sealed. Being “lifted up” refers to Jesus’ crucifixion, which became the doorway to salvation. Rather than silencing Him, the cross amplified His voice, drawing people from every nation to Himself. What appeared to be loss was triumph, for judgment came upon Satan, not Christ. The cross exposed the enemy’s failure and revealed God’s plan—that Jesus’ death would become life for all who believe.
