God Can't Lie

Hebrews 6:18 (NLT)
“So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.”

This verse highlights God’s absolute truthfulness by declaring it is impossible for Him to lie. This assures believers that God's promises are completely reliable and unchanging, rooted in Gods unchanging character. His nature is holy and truthful, so His words and commitments are entirely trustworthy. Because of this, Christians can confidently place their hope in His promises, knowing they are secure. This verse supports the idea that Scripture, as God's Word, reflects His truthful nature and can be trusted without error. God's inability to lie gives believers a firm foundation for faith, offering peace, security, and unwavering hope in the midst of life’s uncertainties.
